Art House Artist in Residence 2009

Art House Artist in Residence Program

Art House is selecting artists on an ongoing basis to be an artist in residence. Artists will live in Art House Gallery for one month and will have access to full print shop as well as gallery space. Artist will present work made during residences during the Castleberry Hill Art Walk in Atlanta, GA at the end of the residences. The artist will work with Art House Curator to create a show for the art walk.

Program Cost: $400

Included: Living space, 24 hour access to print shop/ studio (with etching press, letter press, and screen print equipment), Gallery space for art work and free entry into 4 Art House Projects. Featured artist space on Art House website for no less then 3 months.
To apply please email 10 images of your work in JPG format with each file being no bigger then 1mb each, a one page proposal on how you would utilize the space to create a viewer interactive piece, an artist resume, and a one paragraph BIO with contact info included. Please include phone number as well. Please specify which session you would prefer.

There is no charge to apply.

One application per artist.

Helpers Needed!!!

We need some helpers for our Museum of Design Show next week. We need 3-4 people to come help us paint and get the MODA gallery ready for the Scavenger Project and Timeline Project.

Art House at the Museum of Design Atlanta!

The Sketchbook Project 3

For those of you who don't already know, we have started the Sketchbook Project 3! We are traveling to 6 different cities this time (and are about to add a couple more!) All you need to do is sign up, receive your the sketchbook we send you, and then work in it and send it back to us! Then we will take it on tour to museums and galleries all over the place! This is a great opportunity to add a bunch of shows to your resume and also create some awesome work along with artists from all over the world!

Stuff your Sorries in a Sack Show!!

Hey everyone! On October 24th we had the opening for "Stuff your Sorries in a Sack" project. It was really fun! It was on one of our art walk nights and even in the rain we got a few hundred people that stopped by! I'm putting up a picture of the sacks as well as some of the other stuff that was up that night!
